Our little attic room was like a little piece of Scottish Heaven to us, with our little twin down beds. What a delight!!!
Today we had a lovely breakfast looking out of giant bay windows to a Sunny Scottish day...the weather has been remarkably agreeable much to our delight! We have noticed however that because we are so far North the sunshine hours are few and far between and then the chill sets in...never fear though...the cold will not crush our spirits! So we began our midday adventures of Edinburgh!
The gang went to Aurthur's seat while I finished up some applications and then we joined up for some marvelous Indian Curry with samosas and naan. YUMMY! The owner was so kind and welcomed us back to Scotland anytime. After stuffing ourselves to the brim we began our assent on the city with the Royal Mile...the old city is right in the middle of the new and it is breath taking!
The sun begins
to set...
We visited Edinburgh Castle and sunset...GORGEOUS!!
And traveled the Prince Streets home...what a great little journey!Impressions...Scotland is COLD on all fronts...but that does not dim the glory of the city in the least. Blessings of friendship at every turn by the group accommodating my poor planning for applications...and tender mercies of great friends in the States being ready to help in my state of panic. I feel so blessed to be here and I cannot end the day with out acknowledging the sacrifices of so many loved ones to help us enjoy this journey...from loving family, to dear friends, words of encouragement, loving advice, a ride here, a bed there, a needle and thread and an email or two later we are here because of you. Each and every one of you...and how blessed we are to have you in our lives. We love you and pray for you always. Thank you for being apart of this journey with us as you are always in out hearts.
